Vacations at the Beach are Leisure

Natalie Matwijiszyn

This is a picture of people vacationing in Miami, Florida. It represents leisure because vacations in warm locations are often for relaxing and not centered around work or a 'to do' list. To me, a vacation at the beach means a worry-free week where there is no schedule to follow. Whether I'm with friends or with family I always enjoy hanging out outside when the weather is nice. I define leisure as an activity where you feel completely relaxed and can just enjoy yourself and the company of the people that you're with. Unlike play and recreation, leisure does not involve being very active. I feel that it is an activity where you do not feel guilty about being little lazy.
